This spring, join us in the serene Volterra hills for a retreat hosted by SOPRA SOTTO and Feminine Rising at the Transmission School’s intentional living community in Volterra, Tuscany. Set in the lovingly restored Podere farmhouse, this retreat offers a sanctuary to reconnect with nature, yourself, and a sense of community.

Our thoughtfully curated retreat weaves art, movement, and sound into rituals and activities designed to calm the nervous system and ground you in the present moment. Through creative expression, sensory engagement, and the magic of communal experience, you’ll rediscover the joy of connection and co-creation.

Together, we’ll embrace the rhythms of communal living at the Transmission School, a beautifully restored farmhouse or Podere. Here, alongside long-term residents and its inspiring founder, Pushpa, we’ll immerse ourselves in a harmonious haven shaped by the cycles of nature, the wisdom of herbs, energy, and ancient esoteric traditions. Through the interweaving of different perspectives and generations, as a community we learn from one another, rediscovering the profound beauty of shared living.

This retreat honors the wisdom of nature and our bodies, the divine feminine energy within us all, and the belief that healing oneself creates ripples of healing in the wider community. In our fast-paced world, it’s an invitation to slow down and savor the beauty within and around us.

SOPRA SOTTO, founded by Constance, offers creative retreats and interdisciplinary art residencies inspired by the mystical philosophy, "As above, so below. As within, so without. As the universe, so the soul." Blending creativity, personal growth, and nature, SOPRA SOTTO fosters positive societal change and interconnectedness through immersive communal living experiences that encourage slowing down and reconnecting with self, others, and nature.

Feminine Rising is a soul collaboration between mother-daughter Jill and Dana, offering nature based retreats focused on reconnecting people with the Divine Feminine. Rooted in community, we celebrate authentic expression, believing true magic happens when hearts are open. Our intergenerational approach welcomes people of all ages, backgrounds, and identities, fostering deeper understanding of ourselves and the collective whole.

Constance and Dana, close friends for over a decade, first met at university in LA and have stayed deeply connected despite living on separate continents. Their shared passion for the mysteries of life, feminine energy, connection to nature, community living, creative expression and art has inspired their collaborative work and vision.​

WHAT TO EXPECT

  • Yoga (Nidra): mornings and evenings for grounding, presence and intention

  • Sensual Experiences: sound, movement, art and nourishing meals from fresh ingredients

TRAVEL â€‹

​

  • Travel to Pisa or Florence​

  • By public transport to Pontedera station:

    • Pisa > Pontedera station = 30 mins

    • Florence > Pontedera station = 1,5 hours​

  • Times for arrival (21 May) & departure (25 May)

    • Arrival is between 1pm - 4pm (please arrive before the Welcome Circle at 4pm)

    • Departure is after 3pm from Transmission School (after Closing Ceremony & lunch)​

  • Shuttle from Pontedera station to Transmission School:

    • Shuttle rides both ways are included in price!

    • 21 May pick-up is at 12:30pm from station

    • 25 May drop-off leaves at 3:00pm to station
